We are currently looking to fill an Overnight Caregiver position at our Central Island Home Instead location.
Position Overview
- Job Title: Overnight Caregiver
- Location: Near Port Place Mall, South Nanaimo
- Shift Timings:
- 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
- 10:30 PM – 7:30 AM
- Work Rotation:
- 12-hour overnight shifts
- 8-hour overnight shifts
- Either fixed or rotating schedules available
- Work Environment:
- Applicants must be comfortable working in an environment where cigarette smoke is present
Key Responsibilities
As an Overnight Caregiver, your primary role will be to provide quality care and assistance to clients in their home environment. You will play an essential role in helping seniors maintain their independence while receiving professional and compassionate care. Key duties include:

- Providing compassionate care to elderly clients in their homes
- Assisting clients with their daily activities such as:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Personal hygiene
- Supporting clients with mobility challenges

- Maintaining accurate records related to medication intake

- Assisting with light housekeeping duties such as:

Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:
